Going on a Bear Hunt

It's bear season and these two are excited hunters!

Rusty had his last day at Home Depot of his temp work; Cole has inherited his hat, gloves and tape measure, and wears them all constantly!

Longing for the outdoors...

Here's to the 4-month old

Can't believe my baby is growing so fast... We are certainly loving this cuddly little "Hunter-guy" (as Cole calls him), weighing in at 14#, 8oz and 26 inches in length, and looking more like a mini-Rusty each day.

Down for the count-- 4 out of 4 and all at the same time! Had to document with photos cuz I think this is rare and probably won't last long. Wait, I think I hear somebody; kay, that lasted all of 20 minutes...

But I couldn't resist sharing this tender moment-- Mason and Cole curled up on a towel after their bath laughing and whispering to each other.

An aloha outfit for Hunter, courtesy of my good friend, Vickie who I taught school with in Hawaii. Thank you! Hunter wore it to church last sunday; I thought he was so cute in it, though I guess I'm biased! It makes me miss Hawaii...

Doggy/Toddler Door

The boys have this Berenstain Bears board book, "Inside Outside Upside Down", and it's first words are 'Going in, Inside, Inside a box...' and it continues talking about prepositions and stuff. Mason loves this book and it's lyrics popped into my head as I caught him doing this with G-ma Gena's doggy door...

Climbing Up ................................. Going In

Inside ................................. Getting Up

And then at the end of the book, the little Berenstain Bear exclaims "Mama! Mama! I went to town. Inside, Outside, Upside down!" And when Mason stood up and looked at me, his face said about the same thing!

Fourth of July, and I am 3 months old today!

I (We) luv Rusty

Rusty's been working a lot lately and we all miss him. The boys and I were talking the other day about how much we love and miss him, so when Cole wanted to take a picture (recent obsession with taking photos by himself), he chose to take one of my t-shirt I was wearing that says "I luv Rusty". This logo is fitting for Cole too, because lately he has been calling both of us by our first names, and just yesterday Mason did the same thing- calling his dad "Rusty". What??

We invited our cousins over to play the other day. But instead--
they were held captive by the TV...
