October 2012

Wyatt still does not walk places, but he is pretty effective at getting around.  He'll open the front door, find a pair of shoes (or flip flops like above) and put them on his hands to crawl around outside.  I'm guessing he's figured out that it's easier on the hands than the rocks are.
The last few good days we've had in the garden-- harvesting the last of the potatoes and working/playing in the dirt.
Mason has the hugest interest in maps and was so thrilled when we bought a few that self-adhere to the wall.  After putting this one on the landing of the stairs, he brought a chair, board for his lap and all of his art supplies to park himself in front of it.  He can be found in this spot several times each day, re-creating different parts of the world and making map books.
Enjoying the ward Trunk-or-Treat:  mostly we dressed up in what we had on hand-- pirates, an angry bird (with his tongue out), and a Wyatt lion.
Wyatt and cousin Meika enjoying some time together pre-Trunk or Treat.
Mason loved his spider hat craft
I did a lot of re-painting furniture this month-- this free table has become a bright place for the boys to do their homework on.
Below:  our annual trip to Thomasson Family Farms in Enumclaw to enjoy their fall activities and pumpkin patch...

10/30:  Happy 34th Birthday to me!  The boys helped me celebrate with candles in our breakfast waffles.

September 2012

This month has been busy as Cole and Mason are back to school and the weather is still nice.
Hunter, Wyatt and I are spending lots of time at our house working on projects-- Wyatt helps out by eating his fair share of dirt from our neglected plants.
Lazy Sunday afternoon walks, combined with blackberry picking and eating.  We learned not to trust Wyatt with a cup full of our hard-picked berries!  He can't resist them!

Wyatt has really bonded tons with Grandpa Jack this summer/fall.  Grandpa lets him be such a helper to him-- loading trash into G-pa's rabbit truck and hanging out in the garage.  Those two are becoming good buddies!

Camp Primetime:  Mason and Wyatt's therapy center reserves a weekend at Camp Primetime in Eastern Washington (near Yakima) each year.  We were lucky enough to be able to participate.  Rusty had to work last minute and couldn't come.  I was nervous about taking 4 little boys camping by myself, but it was wonderful!  We all had such a great time, and are hoping to have another chance to go in the future.  Some of our favorite memories-- exploring trails, playing lots of Cat-in-the-Hat Go Fish before bed and while Wyatt took naps, playing in the treehouse and the toy cabin, boating, throwing rocks in the river and eating our lunch there, campfire and singing time, meeting new friends, and riding the horses.

A few hours to get there...

Enjoying the beautiful scenery

 Boating on the lake

Throwing rocks and having lunch on the water

Thanks Camp Primetime!  Until we meet again...

Another big happening in September 2012 is that I finally got Lasik Surgery so I am now glasses/contact-free.  I've been very happy with my experience and wish I had done it years earlier.  It was amazing to me walking into the clinic with my glasses on and then walking out (without glasses), and seeing much clearer that same day.  Immediate results, and no regrets.
